Tragic Double Loss in Flint Leaves Loved Ones Heartbroken
A severe shooting in Flint, Michigan, has claimed the life of a pregnant woman and, shortly after, her infant son. 34-year-old Ashley Williams, six months into her pregnancy, was struck by gunfire on February 10, 2026, and later died from her injuries at a local hospital.
Medical staff were able to perform an emergency delivery of her baby boy, who was then placed on life support. Tragically, the newborn — named Isaiah Ryan — passed away two days later on February 12.
‘Miracle Baby’ Had Special Meaning for Family
Williams’ mother described Isaiah as a “miracle baby” because she and her family believed Ashley could not conceive before this pregnancy. The infant’s short life and Williams’ unexpected death have left relatives and friends in deep sorrow.
A fundraising page created to help cover medical and funeral expenses shared the family’s message of grief and faith following Isaiah’s passing: “He put up a good fight, but God chose to have him rest easy with his momma. Two days will never be long enough.”
Police Investigate Circumstances Around Deadly Shooting
According to authorities, Williams got into a vehicle with two men at a residence prior to the shooting. When she tried to exit the car, one of the men allegedly fired the shots. Law enforcement has not yet announced any arrests or a confirmed motive, and the investigation remains active.
Community members continue to mourn this heartbreaking event as officials piece together the circumstances surrounding this violent incident.
