According to investigators, the alleged hazing took place over several days in April and involved repeated physical assaults using canes and paddles. Authorities say the victims suffered serious injuries that required extensive medical treatment, leading prosecutors to pursue multiple felony charges against the suspects.

Investigators believe the incident was linked to fraternity initiation activities. The accused include Marquez Christopher Pinder, who authorities say served in a leadership role overseeing pledges. Along with two other suspects, he now faces charges including felony hazing with a deadly weapon, aggravated battery, and attempted manslaughter.
