The pair, identified as Zamil Limon and Nahida Bristy, have not been seen or heard from since mid-April, raising growing concern among investigators, family members, and the academic community.
Students Last Seen Separately on Same Day
Police confirmed that both students, aged 27 and originally from Bangladesh, were last seen on April 16 in different locations within the Tampa area. Limon, a doctoral candidate in geography and environmental science, was last spotted at his residence earlier in the morning. Shortly afterward, Bristy, who was pursuing a Ph.D. in chemical engineering, was seen on campus near a science building.
Authorities say the timeline suggests the two may have disappeared within a short window of time. A mutual acquaintance reported them missing the following day after repeated attempts to contact them failed. Investigators noted that both students abruptly stopped responding to calls and messages, which is considered highly unusual based on their routines.
