Shooting at New Mexico Air Force Base Leaves One Dead, Another Injured
A shooting incident at a U.S. Air Force installation in southern New Mexico resulted in one fatality and another person being injured, according to military officials. Lockdown Triggered After Reports of Active Shooter
Authorities reported that the base was placed under lockdown at approximately 5:30 p.m. local time after reports of gunfire and a possible active shooter near a convenience store on the installation. Military security forces quickly responded while emergency teams moved in to assist victims.
One person died during the incident, while another individual suffered injuries and was transported for medical treatment. Officials later confirmed that there was no ongoing threat to personnel or the surrounding community.
Base Declared Safe as Investigation Begins
