Miami Woman Accused of Stabbing Teen Sister After Being Caught Looking Through Her Phone

A 26-year-old Miami woman is behind bars after allegedly stabbing her teenage sister multiple times when the girl caught her looking through her cellphone, authorities said.

According to the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office, the incident happened Sunday afternoon in Cutler Bay, a suburb south of Miami. The arrest report states that the 15-year-old victim woke up from a nap in the living room and saw her sister, identified as Lynn My Le, going through her phone.

When the teen questioned her sister’s actions and tried to retrieve the phone, Le allegedly grabbed a knife. Investigators said the victim ran toward the front door, but Le chased her and stabbed her approximately four times in the back. After the girl fell to the ground, Le continued stabbing her—about six more times—while the victim begged for her life, police said.

Le eventually stopped the attack. It’s unclear who called 911, but responding officers found the teen with multiple stab wounds. She was taken to a nearby hospital; her condition has not been publicly released.

Le was charged with attempted murder and reportedly refused to speak with detectives following her arrest. She was denied bond during her initial court appearance on Monday, and her arraignment is set for November 17.
