Sarah Kellen Rejects Allegations of Complicity
Sarah Kellen, one of Jeffrey Epstein’s former assistants, appeared before members of a congressional oversight panel this week and strongly denied allegations that she helped facilitate Epstein’s crimes. During closed-door testimony, Kellen stated that she was herself a victim of sexual and psychological abuse and described years of manipulation and control by the disgraced financier.
According to her testimony, Kellen said the abuse occurred repeatedly over more than a decade and left lasting emotional effects. She told lawmakers that Epstein maintained significant influence over many aspects of her life, making it difficult for her to break away from his control.
Testimony Offers New Details to Congressional Inquiry
The House Oversight Committee is continuing its examination of the federal handling of the Epstein investigation and the network of people connected to the case. Committee members described Kellen’s appearance as one of the most significant interviews conducted so far.
Lawmakers indicated that Kellen provided information about additional individuals who may warrant further review as investigators continue examining allegations linked to Epstein’s activities. Specific details regarding those names have not yet been publicly released.
Kellen also said she was unaware of aspects of a controversial 2007 non-prosecution agreement that later identified her among potential co-conspirators. She stated that she was never interviewed by law enforcement before that agreement became public.
Longstanding Debate Over Roles Within Epstein’s Inner Circle
For years, survivors and legal filings have raised questions about the involvement of several people who worked closely with Epstein. Some accusers have alleged that members of his staff helped arrange meetings and appointments connected to the abuse network. Kellen has consistently denied knowingly participating in criminal conduct.
Despite scrutiny over her role, Kellen has never been criminally charged. Her testimony adds a new dimension to ongoing discussions about coercion, manipulation, and the experiences of individuals who were closely connected to Epstein while also claiming to have been victimized by him.
