Delaware Dance Instructor Faces Child Sexual Abuse Charges
A 23-year-old dance instructor in Delaware has been arrested after authorities accused her of sexually abusing two teenage students who attended the dance studio where she worked.
According to investigators, the suspect, identified as Emily Pryor Albino, is facing four counts of first-degree sexual abuse of a child by a person in a position of trust and one count of sexual solicitation of a child using an electronic device.
Police say the investigation remains active, and detectives believe there may be additional victims who have not yet been identified.
Investigation Began After Reports From Two Teen Students
Authorities said the investigation started after receiving information that two teenagers attending X-Treme Dance Studio in Laurel, Delaware had allegedly been sexually abused.
Investigators also allege that the instructor exchanged sexually explicit electronic messages with the two teens during the course of the alleged offenses.
Law enforcement has not disclosed the identities or ages of the victims in order to protect their privacy.
Detectives Ask Potential Victims to Come Forward
Police believe other individuals may have had similar experiences and are urging anyone with relevant information to contact investigators.
Following her arrest, Albino was arraigned in court and remains in custody on a $110,000 cash bond while the criminal case proceeds.
