Arizona Man Accused of Killing Parents with Hammer Over Medication Dispute

Arizona Man Accused of Killing Parents with Hammer Over Medication Dispute f3b55817 b412 44ce 8ebc

A shocking double homicide in Arizona has led to the arrest of a 29-year-old man accused of killing his own parents inside their home. Authorities say the suspect allegedly carried out the attack using a hammer and knife, later calling emergency services to confess. The case has raised concerns about mental health and family disputes turning violent.

Suspect Allegedly Confessed After Attack

According to police reports and court documents, the incident took place on March 31 at a residence in Peoria, Arizona. Officers responding to a 911 call discovered two victims—identified as a 63-year-old father and a 56-year-old mother—dead at the scene.

Investigators say the suspect admitted during the emergency call that he had killed his parents. He reportedly told dispatchers he would wait outside the home for officers, where he was later taken into custody without resistance.

Authorities also recovered a hammer and knife believed to have been used in the attack, which were found discarded inside the house.

Motive Linked to Medication Dispute

Court documents suggest the alleged motive behind the killings was anger over being placed on medication. The suspect reportedly told officials he acted out of frustration toward his parents regarding his treatment.

Investigators revealed that the parents had previously filed multiple mental health petitions concerning their son, including several earlier this year.

Charges and Ongoing Investigation

The accused now faces two counts of first-degree murder and is being held on a high cash bond. Officials confirmed that the investigation is ongoing, though early findings indicate the incident appears to be isolated, with no broader threat to the public.

Authorities have not yet released additional details regarding legal representation or court proceedings.
