Brooklyn, NY – Disturbing Discovery in Flatbush Apartment

A 25-year-old Brooklyn woman has been arrested after police found her one-month-old baby dead inside a closet of their Flatbush home on Saturday evening. The shocking discovery unfolded during a welfare check, prompting an ongoing investigation by the NYPD.

Wellness Check Leads to Tragic Scene

Officers were dispatched to a residential unit on Veronica Place in the Flatbush neighborhood just after 7:30 p.m. following a call from the infant’s grandmother, who requested a wellness check after not hearing from her family.

Responding police found the unresponsive baby inside a duffel bag tucked away in a closet. Emergency medical personnel pronounced the child deceased at the scene. Authorities identified the infant as Adonnys Kendall, who was only around one month old.

Mother Charged and Investigation Underway

The infant’s mother, identified as Gynae Kendall, was taken into custody the next day and charged with concealment of a human corpse. Investigators are awaiting results from the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner to determine the official cause of death.

At this time, details about what led to the baby’s death have not been publicly released, and authorities continue to gather evidence as the case unfolds.
