Iran Says US and Israel Actions Violate UN Charter, Calls for Global Accountability 865bfb8e c0bc 4cb2 9928 593521f67994

Iran has sharply criticized the United States and Israel, claiming their recent actions weaken the principles of the United Nations Charter and threaten international peace. Foreign Ministry spokesperson Nasser Baghaei stated that unilateral measures and military policies pursued by the two countries contradict international law and undermine global cooperation.

Iran Raises Concerns Over International Law

Baghaei said that any action bypassing established international frameworks damages the credibility of global institutions. He stressed that the UN Charter was designed to maintain sovereignty, prevent aggression, and promote peaceful dispute resolution.

According to the spokesperson, continued political and military pressure by Washington and Tel Aviv erodes trust in multilateral diplomacy and creates instability in sensitive regions. He emphasized that respect for territorial integrity and non-interference remains essential for maintaining order in the international system.

Call for Multilateral Responsibility

The Iranian official urged the international community to take a firm stance in defending the UN Charter’s core principles. He stated that selective application of international rules sets a dangerous precedent and could weaken the authority of the United Nations.

Baghaei also reiterated that sustainable peace depends on dialogue, cooperation, and adherence to global legal norms rather than unilateral strategies. He called on world powers to recommit to diplomacy and collective security efforts.

Emphasis on Regional Stability

Highlighting ongoing tensions in the Middle East, Baghaei warned that aggressive policies risk escalating conflicts and destabilizing neighboring countries. He said regional security cannot be achieved through force but through mutual respect and constructive engagement.

Iran maintains that strengthening international law and empowering multilateral institutions remain the only effective path toward lasting peace and stability.
