French Authorities Await Final Test Results in Daniel Siad Death Investigation

French prosecutors have announced that an initial autopsy found no evidence of violence in the death of French modeling scout Daniel Siad, who had been publicly linked to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. While investigators have ruled out visible signs of foul play, the exact cause of death has not yet been determined.

Siad, 69, was discovered dead at his residence in Colombes, a suburb northwest of Paris, on July 20. Officials said further toxicology and pathology examinations are still underway to determine the precise cause of his death.

Autopsy Reveals Previous Health Problems

According to prosecutors, the post-mortem examination did not uncover any recent injuries or signs of violence that could explain Siad’s death. However, medical experts noted that he had existing health issues, including evidence of a previous heart attack.

Despite these findings, authorities emphasized that the investigation remains active until laboratory testing is completed. The pending toxicology and pathology reports are expected to provide greater clarity on what led to his death.

Daniel Siad Was Under Investigation

Daniel Siad’s name appeared thousands of times in documents related to Jeffrey Epstein that were released by the U.S. Department of Justice. French investigators had also placed him under surveillance as part of a broader probe involving alleged human trafficking and tax fraud.

Although he had been under investigation, prosecutors had not gathered sufficient evidence to arrest him. Siad consistently denied any criminal wrongdoing, maintaining that his relationship with Epstein was strictly professional. His lawyer has also stated that investigators had found no evidence warranting criminal charges.

Case Draws Attention Due to Epstein Connection

Siad’s death has attracted significant public attention because of his association with Epstein. He is the second France-based individual linked to Epstein to die in recent years, following the 2022 death of modeling agent Jean-Luc Brunel while he was awaiting trial.

French authorities have indicated that no conclusions about the cause of Siad’s death will be made until all forensic analyses are complete.
