Moscow Bombing Leaves Three Dead, Dozens Injured

Moscow officials have officially described the deadly explosion at a popular restaurant in the Russian capital as a terrorist act, following a blast that claimed three lives and injured at least 21 others.

The explosion occurred on Saturday evening outside the Balzi Rossi restaurant in central Moscow during a private gathering. Among those killed were the suspected female bomber, a security guard, and another victim. Emergency responders quickly secured the area while investigators launched a criminal probe into the incident.

Mayor Sergei Sobyanin condemned the attack as a “brutal terrorist act” and said authorities would make every effort to identify everyone responsible and bring them to justice.

Investigation Focuses on Bombing Motive

Russian investigators believe the explosion was caused by an improvised explosive device. According to initial reports, the suspected attacker attempted to enter the restaurant but was stopped by security before the device detonated near the entrance.

Officials have not publicly identified those behind the bombing, and no organization has claimed responsibility. Authorities are continuing forensic examinations, reviewing surveillance footage, and interviewing witnesses to determine whether the attack targeted a specific individual or event.

Security Concerns Rise After Deadly Attack

The bombing has heightened security concerns in Moscow, with law enforcement increasing their presence around public venues while the investigation continues.

The attack comes amid a series of high-profile security incidents in Russia over recent years. However, officials have not confirmed any direct connection between this explosion and previous attacks. Investigators say it is too early to determine a motive, and the inquiry remains ongoing.
