UK Police Arrest Three More Suspects in Jewish Ambulance Arson Case in London 7a807ca0 26ab 11f1 9a4b 834c9ce445e3

British police have arrested three more individuals in connection with a shocking arson attack that targeted ambulances belonging to a Jewish volunteer emergency service in north London. The latest arrests mark a significant development in an ongoing investigation into what authorities are treating as a serious hate-related crime.

Three More Arrested in Ongoing Probe

The newly detained suspects—a 20-year-old man, a 19-year-old man, and a 17-year-old boy—were taken into custody during coordinated operations across east London. They are accused of conspiring to carry out arson with intent to endanger life and remain in police custody as inquiries continue.

Officials confirmed that these arrests are linked to the March 23 incident in Golders Green, where multiple ambulances operated by a Jewish community organization were deliberately set on fire. Investigators have also conducted searches at several locations tied to the suspects.

Details of the Arson Attack

The attack occurred in the early hours of the morning, when four ambulances were torched near a synagogue in a predominantly Jewish neighborhood. The blaze triggered explosions due to oxygen tanks inside the vehicles, causing additional damage to nearby properties, although no injuries were reported.

Authorities believe the act was targeted and are investigating it as an antisemitic hate crime. Counter-terrorism officers are leading the probe, although the case has not been formally classified as terrorism.

Previous Arrests and Security Concerns

Before these latest detentions, two men in their 40s had already been arrested in connection with the case and later released on bail pending further investigation. The total number of suspects held in the case now stands at five.

Police have increased security measures across London, particularly in areas with significant Jewish populations, to reassure communities and prevent further incidents. Officials say efforts to identify all those involved remain ongoing.
