Police say the five suspects, three from Indiana and two from Kentucky, now face a range of serious felony charges tied to the shooting. Among the accused are:

  • Raylen Ferguson, 38, accused of attempted murder, conspiracy to commit murder, aggravated battery and other counts.
  • Thomas Moss, 43, and Blake Smith, 32, both facing multiple felony charges including attempted murder and aggravated battery.
  • Amanda Milsap, 45, and Zenada Greer, 61, charged with obstruction of justice and related offenses.

Law enforcement officials say the investigation was a coordinated effort requiring hundreds of investigative hours across state lines.

The shooting occurred Sunday afternoon at the couple’s home on Mill Pond Lane in Lafayette. Judge Steven Meyer suffered a gunshot wound to his arm, while his wife, Kimberly Meyer, was struck in the hip. Both were treated and are reported to be in stable condition.

Police have not publicly disclosed a clear motive, and as of the latest update, none of the accused had attorneys listed in public records.
