The victim, a 44-year-old tourist from Canada, was spending time in the Midtown Manhattan park on Monday evening, December 30. At around 5:30 p.m., he bent down to tie his shoe when he suddenly felt sharp pain in his leg. At first, he did not realize what had happened and continued walking.
Injury Discovered Moments Later
After leaving the park, the man entered a nearby store to check his leg. That was when he noticed blood running down his leg and realized he had been stabbed. Emergency services were alerted, and the injured tourist received medical attention. His condition was reported as stable.
