Thanks to a prompt response, officers discovered shell casings near a local elementary school and took two people into custody — recovering firearms in the process. At approximately 12:09 a.m., officers arrived at the scene following calls about shots fired in the Willow Dr. / Grace St. neighborhood. Upon arrival, they found multiple shell casings near a soccer field on the grounds of a nearby elementary school.

A thorough search of the area soon led them to two suspects, who were arrested without further incident.

During the arrest, police recovered two firearms believed to be linked to the shooting.
