Local police responded on Sunday to reports of a knife attack inside an entertainment complex known for hosting events and concerts. Upon arrival, officers found a 44-year-old male employee with a stab wound to his chest after confronting the suspect in a restricted area. Minutes later, a 27-year-old woman was reportedly stabbed in the back near an elevator hall. Both victims were transported to a nearby hospital and are expected to recover.

Fukuoka police soon detained a 30-year-old man on suspicion of attempted murder following the attack. Investigators have not yet released details about the suspect’s motives or whether the incident was premeditated. Authorities are reviewing surveillance footage and interviewing witnesses to piece together what led to the stabbing at the busy complex.

In response to the incident, organizers announced the cancellation of a scheduled fan event at the venue, citing safety concerns as the investigation continues.
