Powerball Winner Arrested Again: Kentucky Man Accused of $12,000 Home Burglary

Powerball Winner Arrested Again: Kentucky Man Accused of $12,000 Home Burglary bce91edb f9cd 4864 9510

A Kentucky man who became a multi-millionaire after winning a massive Powerball jackpot is back in legal trouble. Authorities allege that the 51-year-old, who claimed a $167 million prize in 2025, was arrested after breaking into a home and stealing thousands of dollars in cash—marking yet another incident since his lottery win.

Alleged Break-In and Theft in Lexington

According to police reports, the accused unlawfully entered a residence in Lexington on March 28. Surveillance footage reportedly captured him near a side door before the break-in occurred. The homeowner later reported hearing a loud noise consistent with forced entry and discovered that $12,000 in cash was missing.

Authorities later tracked him down at a nearby casino and racetrack, where he was taken into custody without incident. During a search of his vehicle, officers allegedly found marijuana and related items, leading to additional charges.

سلسلة of Legal Troubles After Lottery Win

This arrest is not an isolated case. Since claiming the life-changing jackpot, the man has faced multiple run-ins with law enforcement. Shortly after his win, he was arrested in Florida for assault-related charges and violating parole conditions.

In another case earlier this year, he was accused of attempting to intimidate a woman connected to a legal proceeding. Investigators also reported finding drugs and a firearm during that incident. Additionally, he is dealing with a pending hit-and-run case in Kentucky.

From Jackpot Winner to Court Appearances

The man had shared his lottery winnings with close family members and opted to consider financial advice before choosing a lump-sum payout worth tens of millions. Despite the financial windfall, his legal issues have continued to mount.

He is expected to appear in court for multiple cases, including the latest burglary charges and previous allegations still under review.
