Crash Incident Leads to Arrest

Authorities reported that Woods was driving on a residential road when he attempted to overtake another vehicle at high speed. During the maneuver, his car clipped a trailer, causing it to overturn.

Despite the severity of the crash, no injuries were reported. Woods managed to exit the vehicle on his own, but officers at the scene observed signs suggesting possible impairment.

A breathalyzer test conducted later showed no presence of alcohol, leading investigators to suspect that medication or other substances may have contributed to his condition.

Detention and Bail Release

Following the incident, Woods was taken into custody and booked at a local jail. Under Florida law, he was required to remain detained for several hours before becoming eligible for release.

He was later granted bail and released after completing the mandatory holding period. Officials also confirmed that Woods declined to undergo a urine test, which resulted in an additional charge.

Ongoing Concerns and Career Impact

This latest episode adds to a history of driving-related incidents involving Woods, including a previous arrest in 2017 linked to prescription medication use.

The 15-time major champion has also dealt with multiple injuries and surgeries in recent years, limiting his appearances on the golf course. His future participation in upcoming tournaments remains uncertain following this incident.
