Man Jailed for Child Exploitation Following Murder Investigation
A South Carolina man has been sentenced to seven years in prison after pleading guilty to charges related to the sexual exploitation of a child. The case came to light during the investigation into the brutal 2021 killing of his fiancée, Christina Parcell.
Bradly Post admitted guilt to two charges connected to child exploitation earlier this month. Authorities uncovered the evidence while examining digital devices during the homicide investigation into Parcell’s death, which shocked the Greenville County community.
Although Post was initially involved in the investigation because he discovered Parcell’s body and contacted police, the evidence found on his electronic devices ultimately led to separate criminal charges unrelated to the murder itself.
Discovery of Evidence During the Murder Probe
Christina Parcell, a veterinary technician, was found dead in her home in Greer, South Carolina, on October 13, 2021. Authorities later confirmed she had been stabbed multiple times in the attack.
During the investigation, detectives searched electronic devices connected to Post. According to court records, investigators discovered numerous files containing child sexual abuse material, which resulted in multiple criminal charges against him.
Initially, Post faced several counts related to child exploitation and other sexual offenses involving minors. Prosecutors and defense attorneys later reached a plea agreement that allowed him to plead guilty to two lesser charges.
Separate Conviction in Christina Parcell’s Murder
While Post’s charges stemmed from evidence found during the investigation, he was not charged with Parcell’s killing. Another man, Zachary Hughes, was convicted of the murder and received a life sentence after a jury found him guilty in 2025.
Court testimony revealed that Hughes claimed he carried out the killing believing he was protecting Parcell’s young daughter. The case also involved allegations of a custody dispute involving the child’s father, John Mello, who has faced additional legal scrutiny related to the events surrounding the homicide.
The complex case continues to draw attention because it involves multiple criminal investigations, including homicide, child exploitation, and conspiracy allegations tied to individuals connected to the victim.
