A shocking act of violence unfolded in broad daylight Tuesday morning in St. Louis, Missouri, when a young figure skating coach was shot and killed while waiting in her car at a Starbucks drive-thru. The woman, widely respected in the skating world for her competitive achievements and coaching, was pronounced dead after the attack. A suspect has been taken into custody as authorities piece together a string of related robberies.


🚨 Fatal Shooting During Morning Coffee Stop

At approximately 10 a.m. on February 10, 2026, police say the 28-year-old victim was in her vehicle at a Starbucks drive-thru on South Grand Boulevard when an armed man allegedly approached and opened fire before fleeing with her personal items, including bank cards and her driver’s license. Emergency responders transported her to a nearby hospital, where she later succumbed to her injuries.

👮‍♂️ Suspect Arrested, Charges Filed

The St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department identified and arrested 58-year-old Keith Brown the following day. Court records indicate he faces numerous charges including first-degree murder, armed robbery, several counts of armed criminal action, and unlawful possession of a firearm. Investigators also found evidence linking him to at least two other robberies that occurred days prior to the fatal shooting.
