Unidentified Jets Player Targeted in Morning Robbery

A Paterson, New Jersey man has been formally charged in connection with an armed robbery that targeted a National Football League player outside his Morristown residence last year, authorities confirmed. The suspect, now 26, faces multiple felony counts including first-degree robbery and conspiracy to commit armed robbery.

Law enforcement says the incident occurred on the morning of February 15, 2025, when the professional athlete and his companion returned from New York City. As they pulled into their driveway around 8 a.m., a vehicle obstructed their path and four masked individuals emerged holding handguns, according to prosecutors.

Suspect Linked Through Electronic Evidence, Already in Custody

Investigators used digital evidence to connect the charged man to the incident, officials said. He was arrested on unrelated charges and was already being held at Bergen County Jail when authorities announced the new charges in mid-January. A judge has ordered him to remain in custody pending trial.

The four armed suspects reportedly forced the victims out of their vehicle, threatened them with firearms, and stole cash, a watch and other items before fleeing the scene in a SUV outfitted with fake license plates.

Investigation Ongoing as Police Seek Additional Leads

Police say the investigation is still active, and they are urging anyone with information to contact the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit. Officials have not announced whether additional suspects have been charged.

This case adds to a series of high-profile robberies involving professional athletes in recent years, highlighting ongoing concerns over their personal security.
