Teen, 16, Among Four Arrested After Police Shooting in Seattle; Suspected in Tacoma Murder ae09ccae 33b4 4f8f af75 51a187d26c8b

In a dramatic turn of events late Saturday, law enforcement in Seattle apprehended four teenagers — including a 16-year-old boy — accused of shooting at police officers during a pursuit in a stolen SUV. Court documents further reveal that the 16-year-old is wanted for a fatal shooting in Tacoma earlier this year, shedding light on a string of violent incidents allegedly connected to the group.

Teen Suspect’s Deepening Legal Troubles

Court records show the 16-year-old suspect had previously pleaded guilty for a series of armed robberies in Tukwila and Renton in July 2024. In those incidents, store clerks and customers were reportedly held at gunpoint as the group made off with hundreds of dollars in cash and merchandise.
While in custody, the teen was allegedly involved in a prison riot on February 14 — reportedly locking down doors with other detained youths and assaulting several detention officers.

Stolen SUV, High-Speed Chase and Gunfire at Police

The four suspects — the 16-year-old boy and three teenage girls (ages 15–17) — were arrested after what began as a police pursuit down Interstate-5 into Tukwila. The stolen SUV they were in was forcibly stopped in what police described as a PIT maneuver.
During the chase, the suspects allegedly fired at officers. Some bullets struck a vehicle driven by an uninvolved motorist. Police recovered a firearm from the 16-year-old and another weapon abandoned nearby; at least two of the teens reportedly escaped.

Connection to February Murder in Tacoma

Further grave allegations have emerged: authorities say the 16-year-old is wanted in connection with a February 22 murder in Tacoma. According to documents, the teen and three associates allegedly shot and killed an 18-year-old man inside an apartment-complex elevator.
The two teens with prior criminal histories remain in secure detention. The other two have been placed under electronic home monitoring, pending further legal proceedings.
