The Embassy has advised its personnel to strictly limit non-essential travel to the Al Udeid Airbase. Located southwest of Doha, Al Udeid serves as a major strategic hub for United States and coalition military operations in the Middle East, hosting the forward headquarters of U.S. Central Command.
