Deadly Shooting Reported at Wilmington Hospital
A shooting at Wilmington Hospital in Delaware on Tuesday afternoon resulted in one death and left another person injured, prompting a major law enforcement response and a temporary lockdown of the medical facility.
Police said officers were called to the hospital on West 14th Street in Wilmington at around 3:30 p.m. Upon arrival, they discovered two victims suffering from gunshot wounds. One victim died, while the condition of the second person has not been publicly disclosed.
Hospital operations were disrupted for several hours as authorities secured the building and searched for the suspect.
Suspect Taken Into Custody After Incident
Investigators later announced that a 23-year-old suspect was arrested in Philadelphia. Officials described the shooting as a targeted and isolated event. The suspect is expected to face charges and be returned to Delaware for legal proceedings.
