Woman Sentenced After Illegal Butt Injection Leads to Model’s Death

A Florida woman has been ordered to serve four years in prison after being convicted in connection with the death of Christina Ashten Gourkani, a social media model and OnlyFans creator known for her resemblance to reality star Kim Kardashian.

The tragic incident dates back to April 2023, when Gourkani, 34, underwent illegal silicone butt injections in a California hotel room. Authorities said the procedure was performed by Vivian Alexandra Gomez, an unlicensed cosmetologist who had traveled from Florida for the appointment.

Victim Became Ill Shortly After Procedure

According to prosecutors, Gourkani experienced severe complications immediately after receiving the injections. She was rushed to a medical facility but died the following day.

Investigators later discovered silicone in her bloodstream. Medical experts have warned that unauthorized silicone injections can be extremely dangerous, as the material may travel through blood vessels and trigger serious health complications, including respiratory failure and tissue damage.

The court found Gomez guilty of involuntary manslaughter and practicing medicine without a license.

Suspect Returned to Florida Before Arrest

Following the procedure, Gomez left California and returned to Florida. She was later arrested on a warrant issued by California authorities and extradited to face charges.

During sentencing, the court denied probation and ruled that Gomez played a direct role in the victim’s death. Her legal team stated that she had accepted responsibility for the involuntary manslaughter charge earlier in the case.

The case has renewed concerns over unlicensed cosmetic procedures and the dangers associated with illegal body enhancement injections. Health officials continue to warn consumers against using non-approved substances for cosmetic treatments due to the risk of severe injury and death.
