Singapore Arrests Three Suspects in International Scam Syndicate Investigation
Singapore police have detained three local men as part of an ongoing investigation into a suspected international scam network connected to the Prince Group. Authorities say the arrests are linked to allegations of money laundering and financial crimes associated with the organization and its leadership.
The suspects were taken into custody between November 2025 and January 2026 during operations targeting individuals believed to have assisted in handling funds tied to the alleged scam activities. Investigators are examining their roles in financial transactions suspected to be connected to the wider network.
Police also confirmed that significant assets connected to the investigation have been frozen as authorities continue to track financial flows and possible criminal proceeds.
Hundreds of Millions in Assets Frozen During Investigation
Authorities revealed that properties, vehicles, luxury items, and bank accounts worth hundreds of millions of dollars have been frozen as part of the probe. The seized assets include several properties, high-value cars, cash in different currencies, and luxury watches and bags.
Officials estimate that the value of frozen assets related to the case has reached about S$500 million, making it one of the largest financial investigations involving scam-related funds in Singapore.
Two of the arrested individuals were reportedly detained after arriving in Singapore from Cambodia, while another suspect is linked to a business in the vehicle leasing sector. Law enforcement officials are also seeking a Singaporean woman believed to be abroad and suspected of involvement in fraud linked to the network.
International Scrutiny on Prince Group and Founder
The investigation is connected to broader international scrutiny of the Prince Group and its founder, Chen Zhi, who is currently in detention in China following an earlier arrest in Cambodia.
Authorities in several countries have linked the organization to alleged online scam operations and financial crimes across Southeast Asia. Investigators claim that the network may have used businesses and financial channels in multiple countries to move and conceal illicit funds.
The Prince Group operates numerous companies worldwide and has previously denied wrongdoing through its legal representatives. Meanwhile, global law-enforcement agencies continue to cooperate in dismantling suspected scam networks that have reportedly defrauded victims across different regions.
Ongoing Investigation
Singapore authorities said investigations remain active and additional enforcement actions could follow as financial records and cross-border links are examined. Officials have emphasized their commitment to tackling transnational fraud and preventing the country’s financial system from being used for criminal activities.
