A terrifying home invasion in Portland, Oregon, left a young mother shaken after an intruder allegedly entered her house and attacked her while she was holding her baby. Authorities say the suspect has now been arrested and is facing several serious criminal charges following the incident.
The frightening event happened around late morning on Sunday when the woman was inside her home with her children. According to investigators, the man reportedly walked into the house without permission and announced himself as if he belonged there.
Moments later, the situation turned violent.

Police say the intruder grabbed the woman while she was holding her 10-month-old baby and forced her into a bedroom. Despite the dangerous situation, the mother managed to ask the suspect for permission to place her baby safely in a crib.
After securing her infant, she quickly moved to protect herself and her other young child. Authorities say she barricaded herself in another room with her 3-year-old and called for help while shouting for neighbors and her husband, who was outside doing yard work at the time.
The suspect fled the home before police arrived.
