Monaco Bombing Investigation Takes New Turn
A major development has emerged in the investigation into the recent Monaco bombing after a woman accused of involvement in the attack was discovered dead near Kyiv, Ukraine. Authorities confirmed that the victim suffered fatal gunshot wounds, and two men have since been arrested in connection with her death.
The woman had been wanted on international charges following the June 29 bombing in Monaco, which targeted Ukrainian-born businessman Vadym Yermolaiev. The explosion left the businessman, his partner, and his son injured, prompting an international investigation.
Two Arrested Over Suspect’s Death
According to Ukrainian investigators, the woman returned to Ukraine shortly after the Monaco bombing. Officials allege that she remained in contact with two individuals before her death and received multiple financial transfers through bank and cryptocurrency accounts.
Those arrested include a serving officer from Ukraine’s military intelligence service and a former police officer. Investigators said the intelligence officer admitted participating in the killing, claiming the act was carried out without authorization from his superiors.
Authorities also revealed that evidence collected during the investigation linked the suspects to the victim in the days leading up to the fatal shooting.
Monaco Bombing Probe Continues
The bombing in Monaco remains under active investigation, with officials working to determine whether additional individuals were involved in planning or carrying out the attack. The suspect had reportedly been the subject of an international arrest notice on charges including attempted murder and conspiracy.
Investigators from Ukraine and Monaco are continuing to cooperate closely, sharing evidence and intelligence as they seek to uncover the full network behind the bombing and the subsequent killing of the primary suspect.
Officials say the investigation remains ongoing, and further arrests have not been ruled out as authorities examine the connections between the bombing, the suspect’s return to Ukraine, and her death.
