Tragedy in North London as Teenager Succumbs to Knife Injuries
A teenage boy has died following a stabbing attack in north London, and authorities have charged a second man with murder after an extensive manhunt. The 15-year-old, described by loved ones as loyal and cheerful, was stabbed in broad daylight and later died in hospital, sparking public shock and a police investigation.
Second Murder Charge After Two-Week Search
Police confirmed that 22-year-old Abdel Derdour was charged with murder early Sunday morning after being arrested following a two-week search. He is due to appear before Highbury Corner Magistrates’ Court to face the charge.
Earlier in the investigation, 20-year-old Tsidi Winion was charged with murder and possession of an offensive weapon and remains held by authorities pending trial.
Additional Arrests and Ongoing Investigation
Officers also detained a 39-year-old man on unrelated offences, including fraud, theft, dangerous driving, and taking a vehicle without consent. Three more people — two men and a woman — were arrested alongside Derdour but have since been released on bail as inquiries continue.
Detectives are urging anyone with information about the incident to contact police or provide anonymous tips via Crimestoppers as the probe advances.
Family Mourns Beloved Son
Friends and family have paid tribute to the young victim, remembering him as a “good-natured, loyal” boy with a bright smile and a lively sense of humour. Loved ones say the loss has left an unbearable void, expressing deep sorrow and requesting privacy as they grieve.
