Heartbreaking Discovery After Kidnapping in Broad Daylight

A beloved 57-year-old father of six-month-old triplets was found dead near Lake Berryessa in Northern California three days after he was forcibly taken from outside a Sikh temple, law enforcement officials confirmed. The San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Office is treating the case as a homicide while pursuing leads that suggest the victim may have been kidnapped by mistake.

Surveillance footage captured three unidentified suspects forcing the man into a white SUV on Feb. 17, according to authorities. His wife reported him missing later that evening after returning home from work to find their infants alone.

Investigators Point to Mistaken Identity Motive

Authorities believe the abduction was not a random act of violence but a case of mistaken identity, with officers indicating the father was not the intended target of the attack. Sheriff’s investigators have appealed to the public for tips to help identify those responsible and clarify the motive.

While the exact reason for the abduction remains unknown, preliminary information suggests confusion during an interaction with the suspects may have led to the tragic error. No arrests have been announced so far as detectives continue their inquiry.

Community Mourns Loss of Devoted Family Man

The victim was a well-known volunteer and cook at the local temple, where he had served for more than two decades. Members of the Sikh community described him as humble and hardworking, deeply respected for his dedication and kindness.

A fundraising campaign has been launched to support his widow and their three infants, who had recently returned home from a prolonged hospital stay. The loss has left the community grieving, with many remembering him for his gentle spirit and devotion to service.
