FBI Stops Planned Attack at White House UFC Event

Federal investigators say they prevented a major attack aimed at the UFC Freedom 250 event held on the White House grounds. Authorities announced that five individuals have been charged in connection with an alleged scheme that included the use of explosive drones and sniper attacks.

According to court documents, the suspects allegedly intended to create panic during the event and target people attempting to flee. Law enforcement agencies acted before the plan could be carried out, leading to arrests across several states.

Investigators Say Drones and Firearms Were Part of the Plan

Officials revealed that the alleged plot involved multiple stages. Prosecutors say the group planned to deploy drones carrying explosives to trigger chaos near the event venue. Authorities believe gunmen were then expected to attack people escaping the area.

The suspects, who were arrested in Ohio, Missouri, Nebraska, and California, face serious federal charges. Investigators are also examining whether additional individuals may have been connected to the operation.

The FBI said the investigation began after receiving information about suspicious behavior from one of the accused. That tip reportedly helped authorities identify the group and stop the alleged attack before the event took place.

Law Enforcement Credits Quick Action for Preventing Violence

Federal agencies, including the FBI and Secret Service, worked together to disrupt the alleged conspiracy. Officials praised the rapid response and coordination among investigators, describing the case as a significant success in preventing a possible mass-casualty incident.

Authorities believe the suspects were motivated by anti-government beliefs and discussed using violence to spark wider unrest. Investigations remain ongoing, and additional charges could be filed as more information becomes available.
