A substitute teacher in North Texas has been taken into custody and faces a series of serious felony charges tied to alleged sexual offenses involving a minor, authorities announced. The educator, who briefly worked for a local school district, has since been dismissed from her duties as officials emphasize there is no evidence the alleged acts occurred on school property or involved students from her employment.

🚨 Suspect Arrested and Charges Filed

Law enforcement in Midlothian apprehended 30-year-old Madison Paige Jones on December 19 following an investigation sparked by a report of a potential child sexual assault. Jones now faces several felony counts, including:

  • Aggravated sexual assault of a child
  • Multiple counts of indecency with a child
  • Possession of child pornography involving more than 500 explicit visual depictions

She is currently held on bond in the Ellis County jail while the case progresses.

💔 Relationship to Second Suspect and Ongoing Probe

Authorities also identified a second suspect in the case: 37-year-old Zackery Dondlinger, who was arrested separately in another Texas county and charged with crimes related to the sexual performance of a child. Police confirmed that Jones and Dondlinger were in a personal relationship, and both are being held pending further legal action.

The investigation remains active, with law enforcement urging community members to provide any additional information that could assist the ongoing inquiry.

📍 District Statement and Employment Status

The Midlothian Independent School District confirmed that Jones is no longer employed by them and had worked only a handful of substitute sessions over the past year. District officials stressed that current evidence does not link the alleged crimes to her time at schools or involve any students from the district.

Administrators also noted that proper reporting procedures were followed once they were made aware of the situation, and that they cooperated fully with law enforcement throughout the process.
