Major Drug Bust: Trio Linked to KVT Gang Face Charges After $12.5 M Seizure 2c4c1091305fdab112a0ea6ff070c2b1

In a major crackdown on organised crime, detectives have charged three individuals tied to the KVT network with multiple alleged drug supply offences. The operation led to the seizure of approximately 40 kilograms of illicit substances — a haul valued at an estimated $12.5 million — as part of a coordinated investigation across Sydney and its outer suburbs.

Sweeping Raids And Arrests

The bust began early yesterday morning when investigators executed a search warrant at an address in the Edmondson Park area of Sydney. A 28-year-old man was arrested during the raid and taken to Liverpool Police Station, where he was formally charged with offences including directing a criminal group and ongoing supply of prohibited drugs.
Just before 5 a.m., law-enforcement officers intercepted a vehicle on the Great Western Highway at Glenbrook. The driver — the same 28-year-old suspect — was apprehended and later charged at Springwood Police Station with supplying prohibited drugs in amounts exceeding the indictable threshold, involvement in a criminal organisation and other serious offences.
Shortly afterwards, a 24-year-old man was arrested in Peakhurst and charged with supplying prohibited drugs in a “large commercial quantity,” dealing with proceeds of crime in excess of $5,000 and failure to comply with digital evidence direction orders. All three suspects were refused bail and are due to appear in local courts.

Magnitude Of The Seizure & Investigation Background

Detectives uncovered about 40 kg of illicit drugs during the search-and-seizure operations, with an estimated street value of $12.5 million. The investigation, carried out by Strike Force Duncan in connection with the KVT network, had been underway since September when officers began probing the alleged supply chain and the organisation’s broader criminal activity. The accused are alleged to have been involved in supplying approximately 55 kg of illicit drugs with a total estimated value of $16.5 million.
Authorities say the operation targeted broader organised-crime functions beyond drug supply — including suspected ‘kill cars’, theft and staging operations — underlining the serious nature of the KVT network. The charges reinforce the determination of NSW Police to dismantle networks trafficking large commercial quantities of illicit substances in Sydney.
