Iran Rejects Claims of Imminent Peace Deal with US
Iran has stated that no final agreement has been reached with the United States, pushing back against comments made by President Donald Trump, who recently suggested that a major settlement could be signed within days.
Iranian officials said discussions are still underway and stressed that several important issues remain unresolved. They added that reports about the time and location of a signing are premature.
Trump had earlier indicated that negotiations had made significant progress and said a deal could be finalized in Europe over the coming days. He also claimed that regional partners had approved the framework of the proposed settlement.
Tehran Says Key Issues Still Need Resolution
According to Iran’s Foreign Ministry, most sections of the draft agreement have been discussed, but disagreements continue over several points. Officials accused the United States of changing positions during negotiations and introducing new demands.
Iran emphasized that it would not compromise on its core interests and that any agreement must protect the country’s strategic priorities. Authorities said a final decision has not yet been made by Iran’s leadership.
Trump Expresses Confidence Over Upcoming Agreement
President Trump remained optimistic and said the proposed settlement could help ease tensions and reopen important trade routes in the region. He suggested that a formal signing ceremony may take place soon if remaining issues are resolved.
However, Tehran’s latest comments indicate that negotiations are still in progress and that no official peace agreement has been approved so far. Diplomatic efforts continue as both sides seek a breakthrough after months of regional tensions.
