Investigation Underway, Community Reeling
Authorities have not yet released the names of the victims as they work to notify next of kin. The incident highlights ongoing concerns about pedestrian safety in busy New York neighborhoods, especially during early-morning hours when visibility is limited and traffic may be heavier than expected.
Police continue to review surveillance footage and canvass the area as part of their search for the fleeing driver. Residents are urged to stay alert and report any tips that could assist in identifying the vehicle or driver involved.
