Brazen Daytime Robbery Caught on Camera

Surveillance video taken on Friday, January 23, shows a dramatic scene in Anaheim, California, as a group of masked thieves drove a dark SUV straight through the front entrance of a local jewelry shop before launching a rapid-fire burglary. The incident at the popular jewelry store stunned onlookers and sparked a swift police response.

Chaotic Escape and Rapid Arrests

According to law enforcement officials, the suspects smashed their way into the store and quickly grabbed high-value jewelry and other merchandise, including an employee’s handgun. Witness footage from outside captured the vehicle crashing through the storefront, shattering glass and leaving debris in its wake.

After fleeing the scene in multiple vehicles, the suspects’ chaotic getaway unraveled within minutes. Officers spotted one of the getaway cars, leading to a multi-vehicle collision at a nearby intersection in Fullerton, California. Several suspects attempted to flee on foot but were taken into custody shortly afterward.

A second getaway vehicle was later found after crashing into another car a short distance away. Officers and a SWAT team conducted a search of surrounding neighborhoods, resulting in additional arrests. Stolen jewelry and the business owner’s firearm were recovered at both crash sites.

Community Impact and Ongoing Investigation

Several uninvolved drivers suffered minor to moderate injuries in the collisions that followed the robbery, authorities reported. Police allege that the coordinated group — believed to include multiple adults and at least one juvenile — may be linked to other similar store burglaries in the region, based on their tactics and planning.

Investigators continue to review evidence and charges for those arrested, and are asking anyone with further information related to the case to contact the Anaheim Police Department.
