In the early hours of Wednesday morning, a man suspected in a fatal shooting was shot and killed by police in Trenton, Michigan. The incident unfolded after authorities traced a vehicle linked to the earlier crime to a residential area on Van Horn Road.

Police received notification around 2:45 a.m. alerting them of a possible fatal shooting in Inkster. The suspect, driving a 2022 gray Ford Edge, was believed to have fled the scene. Officers from various departments were alerted and soon discovered the vehicle parked near 3700 Van Horn Road. Upon arrival, officers confronted a 37-year-old man who was reportedly armed — leading to a brief but deadly exchange of gunfire. The suspect was pronounced dead at the scene.
