ROBERSON (KY) – A major search is underway after an 11-year-old girl disappeared Monday evening in Robertson County. The Kentucky State Police are asking the public to be on the lookout for the young girl, who was last seen wearing a pink shirt, blue pants and white tennis shoes. According to investigators, her mother reported her missing around 5:45 p.m., and the trail has grown cold despite multiple leads and efforts including aerial support.

Last Known Whereabouts and Clothing Description

Authorities say the missing girl, identified as Addelyn Thornsberry, was last seen at approximately 5:45 p.m. near the family’s Robertson County residence. The mother attempted to locate her daughter via the Life360 app but was unable to. Addelyn was wearing a pink shirt, blue pants and white tennis shoes at the time of her disappearance.

Search Efforts Underway

The Kentucky State Police, working alongside Robertson County Emergency Management, launched immediate ground and aerial searches after the report. Cold temperatures and darkness led authorities to suspend the search at one point overnight, but aerial assets were deployed earlier as conditions worsened.
Investigators also confirmed that the girl posted a video earlier in the day indicating an intention to run away — a factor now under evaluation.

How the Public Can Help

Addelyn has been entered into the National Crime Information Center (NCIC) as a missing person. Anyone with information on her whereabouts or who may have seen someone matching her description in the Robertson County area is urged to call KSP Post 6 in Dry Ridge at (859) 428-1212, or contact your local law enforcement agency.
