Multiple Victims After Shooting at Seattle Center
A deadly shooting near Seattle’s iconic Space Needle turned a popular community event into a scene of panic on Sunday evening. The incident happened at the Seattle Center during the annual Bite of Seattle food festival, where thousands of visitors had gathered for the weekend celebration.
According to authorities, officers responded within minutes after gunfire broke out around 6 p.m. Emergency crews found several people suffering from gunshot wounds. Three people later died from their injuries, while four others were hurt, including a two-year-old child. Police believe there is currently no ongoing threat to the public as the investigation continues.
Police Arrest One Suspect, Search Continues for Another
Investigators say the violence appears to have involved two individuals exchanging gunfire in a crowded public area. One suspect was taken into custody at the scene, while another fled before officers arrived and remains the subject of an active search.
