A woman from Palm Beach Gardens has been accused of stalking her ex-girlfriend by covertly planting a GPS tracking device on her car, according to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office (PBSO).

The case began on April 29 when deputies responded to a domestic battery call at the Town of Atlantis Police Department station, where the victim stated her ex-girlfriend, identified as Nautica Brown, had battered her earlier that day.

During the investigation the victim learned from a friend via Facebook Messenger that Brown might have placed a GPS tracker on her vehicle. The victim then reported she noticed a suspicious car following her closely after a doctor’s appointment, and she drove to the police station for safety. While at the station the vehicle passed by and left the area.

While waiting, the victim searched her car and found a blue “Nano Spark 7” GPS tracker hidden behind the rear bumper. PBSO later confirmed the device was registered to Brown.

Approximately 90 minutes later, the victim spotted Brown driving past her and blocking her car in while she was at the police station, and Brown allegedly sent repeated threatening text messages to the victim — including threats to post intimate photographs on social media.

Brown now faces charges including use of a tracking device without consent and related stalking or domestic-battery allegations. PBSO’s investigation continues.
