A Wisconsin woman has been formally charged with child neglect resulting in death following an investigation into the passing of her teenage son, who suffered from muscular dystrophy. The criminal complaint alleges that the boy, who relied on a wheelchair for mobility, experienced a severe decline in health under his mother’s care, culminating in his death in December.
According to court documents, the victim weighed only 56 pounds at the time of his death, a significant decrease from a previously recorded weight of 80 pounds.
