One Killed, Five Injured in Series of Shootings Near West Bank Border

One Dead and Five Hurt After Multiple Shootings in Central Israel

At least one person lost his life and five others were wounded after a series of shooting incidents occurred in central Israel near the West Bank border on Sunday. Emergency responders and security forces rushed to several locations as authorities investigated the attacks.

Medical teams treated the injured and transported them to nearby hospitals. Officials said some of the victims suffered serious wounds.

Security Forces Launch Search Operation

Police and military personnel deployed across the area following reports of gunfire at several sites. Initial concerns centered on the possibility of coordinated attacks involving more than one assailant.

Authorities later said one suspected attacker was killed during the response, while large-scale searches were carried out both on the ground and from the air to determine whether additional suspects were involved.

Incidents Reported at Several Locations

Emergency services first received reports of gunfire near a gas station close to Kokhav Yair. Additional shooting incidents were later reported in nearby communities, including Tzur Natan and Tzur Yitzhak, as well as areas close to settlements near the West Bank.

Security officials increased patrols and continued investigations as tensions remained high in the region.
