Former British glam-rock singer Gary Glitter, whose real name is Paul Gadd, has pleaded not guilty to eight charges involving alleged historical sexual offences at a London court. The 82-year-old appeared by video link from prison and denied all allegations.

Gary Glitter Denies All Charges

Gadd appeared before Southwark Crown Court on Wednesday to respond to allegations involving a young girl. He denied four counts of indecent assault, two counts of indecency with a child and two counts of unlawful sexual intercourse with a girl under the age of 13.

The charges relate to alleged offences said to have occurred between 1978 and 1981, when the complainant was reportedly between eight and 11 years old.

Allegations Linked to West London Property

Prosecutors have previously stated that the alleged incidents took place at Gadd’s home in the Kensington area of London.

Gadd, who rose to prominence during the 1970s as a glam-rock performer, remains in custody following the latest court hearing.

Trial Scheduled for Next Year

The former singer has been remanded in custody while awaiting trial, which is expected to take place next year. The case will continue through the UK court system, with Gadd maintaining his not guilty plea to all eight charges.
