San Antonio Woman Sentenced to Nearly 22 Years for Meth Trafficking and Gun Possession

San Antonio Woman Sentenced to Nearly 22 Years for Meth Trafficking and Gun Possession 4049c99a 0b09 4df5 a57d

A federal judge has handed down a prison sentence of nearly 22 years to a San Antonio woman convicted of trafficking methamphetamine and illegally possessing firearms. The defendant — with a long history of narcotics and weapons offenses — was caught with meth, heroin, marijuana, digital scales, and multiple guns during a DEA arrest in April 2023.

Arrest Linked to Large Drug and Firearms Seizure

Between early March and early April 2023, law enforcement says the woman sold methamphetamine multiple times and also sold heroin on at least two occasions. On April 4, during a controlled buy, agents from the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) arrested her. A search of her backpack reportedly uncovered nearly 392.5 grams of crystal meth, around 62 grams of heroin, roughly 23 grams of marijuana, a digital scale, and a loaded 9 mm handgun.

A subsequent search of her residence led to the discovery of even more weapons — including multiple assault rifles, several handguns, and magazines loaded with ammunition — underscoring the gravity of the offence.

Conviction, Sentencing, and Repeat Offender History

In August 2023 she pleaded guilty to conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine and possession of a firearm in furtherance of drug trafficking. On December 8, 2025, David Ezra, a federal judge, sentenced her to 200 months (about 16 years and 8 months) for the drug charge, to be served consecutively with a 5-year sentence for the firearm conviction — totaling approximately 21 – 22 years behind bars.

Court records reveal a long criminal past: multiple previous convictions for controlled substance possession and distribution, plus prior unlawful handgun possession offences — making her a repeat offender.

Authorities Emphasize Dangers of Drug-Gun Nexus

Federal prosecutors have highlighted this case as emblematic of the persistent and dangerous link between narcotics trafficking and firearms. The presence of drugs and a significant weapons cache signals the heightened risk to public safety when individuals combine illicit drug operations with armed violence. The DEA and prosecuting authorities say the severe sentence aims both to punish and to act as deterrence for similar crimes.
