Portland, OR — Mother of Young Child Sought by Police After Deadly DUI Crash

A 29-year-old Oregon woman is the subject of an active search after she allegedly violated court-ordered supervision following a fatal drunk driving accident that took the life of her 4-year-old son. Law enforcement officials have issued a warrant for her arrest as they work to locate her whereabouts.

Deadly Crash During High-Speed Drunk Driving

According to prosecutors, the woman was driving under the influence at extremely high speeds when she lost control and struck multiple vehicles, including a Tesla electric car. Her young son sustained life-threatening injuries and later died despite emergency efforts to save him. The mother, her 3-year-old daughter, and two other passengers survived with non-critical injuries.

Court records show her blood alcohol content at the time was more than four times the legal limit, a factor that contributed to the severity of the crash.

Violation of Release Conditions Triggers Manhunt

The woman had previously pleaded guilty to manslaughter and related charges in connection with the crash and was awaiting sentencing. However, authorities say she failed to comply with the terms of her supervised release, prompting a warrant for her arrest and a public safety alert seeking help in locating her.

Officials have emphasized that anyone with information about her location should contact law enforcement immediately as the search continues.

Remembering the Young Victim

Family and friends remember the slain child as a vibrant youngster who brought joy to those around him. A fundraising page set up in his memory celebrates his love of play and family time, highlighting the profound loss felt by his loved ones.
