Gruesome Discovery and Arrest in Zebulon
A 38-year-old North Carolina father is now facing multiple murder charges after a disturbing incident that allegedly saw him hosting men from a popular dating app in his home while his children’s bodies remained decomposing in his car. Law enforcement in Zebulon arrested the man after he reportedly called 911 and confessed to killing his children, prompting a harrowing investigation.
According to authorities, the suspect admitted in the emergency call that he had killed his children and placed several of their bodies in the trunk of his vehicle. Officers responding to the call found the vehicle with the remains, while a surviving 3-year-old child was located unharmed inside the residence.
Disturbing Details from the Investigation
During the course of the investigation, detectives executed search warrants on the suspect’s home, seizing electronics including multiple phones. Forensic review of these devices allegedly revealed messages showing he had been using a location-based dating app to invite men to his house. Records indicate some of these meetups occurred during the timeframe when the children’s bodies were in the car and decomposing, raising troubling questions about the timeline of events.
The app in question is known for facilitating connections between gay and bisexual men, and investigators said messages suggested several individuals visited the residence around the same period the alleged killings occurred. Authorities are still working to determine the full extent of these interactions as part of the wider criminal probe.
Allegations of Hidden Death and Burial
In addition to the bodies discovered in the vehicle’s trunk, the suspect allegedly told police another infant child had died earlier and was buried on the property. According to law enforcement, this death had not been reported to officials at the time, and the infant’s remains were believed to be interred behind the home, further compounding the severity of the allegations.
As the case develops, prosecutors are preparing charges tied to multiple counts of murder and other related offenses, while investigators continue gathering evidence into both the suspected homicides and the circumstances surrounding the suspect’s behavior leading up to the arrest.
