Los Angeles law-enforcement officials are investigating 28-year-old model and influencer Adva Lavie for a suspected pattern of high-end burglaries. She is alleged to have used online dating apps and social-media platforms to connect with affluent older men, pose as a companion, gain trust and access, then steal valuables from their homes. The investigation spans several incidents across Los Angeles County and authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward.
Luring companionship—then breaking and entering
According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, Lavie allegedly presented herself as a romantic interest to older men and used dating apps and social-media contacts to initiate meetings. Once in the home, detectives say, the alleged scheme moved quickly: Lavie is accused of accessing the victims’ residences, sometimes while the occupant was present, and taking jewellery, cash or designer goods.
Aliases, luxury cars and a high-profile back-story
The suspect is known to use multiple identities, including “Mia Ventura,” “Shoshana” and “Shana.”Public records and law-enforcement bulletins describe her as about 5 ft 7 in in height, 104 lb in weight, with brown hair and eyes. She is also said to drive a black Porsche SUV or a white Mercedes-Benz sedan. Her publicly-profiled résumé includes modeling work for prominent adult magazines and a claimed past career in aviation.
Investigation status and public appeal
Investigators have identified at least ten alleged victims, though the full scale of the operation remains under review. At present, Lavie is being sought by law-enforcement, and the department has asked anyone who may have encountered her – or experienced a similar pattern of contact followed by theft – to contact detectives. According to media reports, the case underscores a growing trend of crimes linked to online dating and romance platforms.
