Iran’s judicial authorities have declared that individuals arrested during recent nationwide protests will face swift legal proceedings, signaling a tough stance against ongoing unrest. The announcement comes as international attention intensifies, including sharp warnings from former U.S. President Donald Trump, which Iranian officials have firmly rejected.

Judiciary Pushes for Speedy Court Action

Senior judicial officials stated that protest-related cases will be handled without delay, emphasizing that prolonged legal processes will not be tolerated. Special courts and judges have reportedly been assigned to ensure rapid hearings, with authorities arguing that quick verdicts are necessary to maintain public order and deter further demonstrations.

The judiciary maintained that all cases will proceed under Iranian law, stressing that the legal system will not bow to what it described as external political pressure.

Response to Trump’s Warnings

Reacting to statements from Donald Trump urging harsh consequences against Iranian leadership, judicial representatives dismissed the remarks as interference in domestic affairs. Officials reiterated that Iran’s legal decisions are sovereign matters and will not be influenced by threats or commentary from abroad.

According to officials, foreign statements only strengthen Iran’s resolve to enforce its laws and protect national security.

Ongoing Protests and Arrests

Protests have continued across multiple cities in Iran, leading to numerous arrests. Demonstrators have raised economic, social, and political grievances, while authorities claim that some gatherings have crossed legal boundaries.

Human rights groups remain concerned about the pace of arrests and trial procedures, though Iranian officials insist that due process will be followed within the framework of expedited hearings.
