Deputies from the Henry County Sheriff’s Office responded Sunday to a report of a suspicious individual inside a livestock building in Geneseo, Illinois. Although officers initially did not locate the subject inside the structure, their subsequent investigation led them to identify and arrest the suspect.
Arrest and Charges Filed
The man, identified as Mark Leihsing, age 64, was booked into the Henry County jail on charges of burglary and sexual acts with an animal. He remains in detention pending a court appearance scheduled for Wednesday. It is currently unclear whether the alleged animal‐sex offense occurred inside the livestock building or at another location.
